The island is in full bloom and expecting a record-breaking 2017/2018 winter season to be kicked off by the annual Antigua Charter Yacht Show that takes place the first week of December. This famous event has been fully booked months in advance with 400 international agents and over 75 mega yachts in attendance for 2017. As one of the world’s sailing epicentres, the Caribbean region hosts numerous international events, and none so much as Antigua where sailors and spectators from all over the globe converge to experience prominent events including the Iconic World Power Boat, The Royal Ocean Racing Club 600, the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, and the finale in the last week of April Antigua Sailing Week celebrating its 51st anniversary in 2018.
This weekend is the re-opening the eponymous Catherine’s Cafe at Pigeon Beach. As the season gathers momentum, Catherine’s is serving up small moments of French-Caribbean perfection to its international clientele.
