The Nelson’s Retreat site has been purchased by funding partner Operose Capital for Elmsbridge to develop the site as a new-generation hotel for younger travelers.
The goal for the Nelson’s Retreat team was to create a cool place to meet people, relax and enjoy English Harbour on the south coast of Antigua. The design, location and operations ethos are intended to add a new dimension to the island’s chic and understated south coast when it opens in 2019.
The operations team’s focus, with regards to guest experience, will be to connect guests to the locale as much as desired, and enable unique customizable experiences. Nelson’s Retreat is best-described as a “smart apart-hotel”, a hybrid property designed to offer an immersive travel experience and the first of its kind in Antigua targeting young-at-heart travelers including the fastest growing and largest market millennial travelers.
